My wife just retired and we decided that a fun, healthy activity we could do together was bike riding. Kingbull Bikes offered a tremendous savings during Black Friday/ Cyber Monday on a pair of Hunter model E-bikes loaded with free accessories and free shipping. We bought them.
The bikes got separated during shipping. The first arrived in a couple of weeks and it was quick and easy to assemble. The bike is a pleasure to ride. I put 30 miles on it riding with my neighbor that first week. My rear end did get a little ache so we'll see if a replacement seat is needed thoughthe seat does have nice thick padded foam. I won't be using it on mountainous trails. The pedal assist is a game changer.
The second bike arrived a week or so after the first with a hole on the side of the box and during assembly we found that the steel front fork assembly was completely bent and twisted out of alignment and would not accommodate the front wheel at all.
I immediately took pictures and sent an email into KingbullBikes customer care department as instructed in the manual included in the bike. In very quick fashion I was provided detailed information and guidance that was very receptive and attentive to my situation which required my support advocate Elsa to explain to the after sales team my need for a replacement fork assembly. They listened to her and arranged shipment of the part.
It arrived a few weeks later and was missing two parts that were on the bent original fork: a special star fangled nut that locks inside the handlebar steerer tube and a seated metal o-ring that sets at the base of the steerer tube onto the fork. So we had to put some effort getting those very carefully removed from the first assembly that was damaged and properly inserted onto the replacement. It took about 90 minutes after we figured out the best approach and proper tools.
After that we built the second bike and my test drive went just as well as the first bike.
The weather has turned cold. My wife has not yet rode her bike.
